The primary role of the Warehouse Operations Specialists is to assist the Warehouse Operations Manager with review and evaluations of parts operation and branch warehouse processes and facilities to identify inefficiencies and develop solutions. Assist Parts Operations Manager and Branch Manager with providing high quality product support to customers and meeting profit objectives.
REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma, bachelor’s degree, or equivalent
3 years of warehousing, parts logistics and operations
Experience with Project Management, Six Sigma, Lean, 5S, ISO, etc. preferable
Knowledge of operational procedures of parts warehouse and office
General knowledge of parts department and branch operations
Ability and willingness to function outside normal working hours
Demonstrate ability to apply tact and diplomacy in dealing with customers and fellow employees
Travel to branches or other locations as required to perform assigned duties, maintaining a valid driver’s license
Maintain a high degree of discretion in handling confidential/sensitive information and exercise initiative in all assigned areas, high integrity and accountability standards
Assist work team to meet the objectives of the department and the Company
Good working knowledge of computers, spreadsheets, word processing programs
Excellent interpersonal skills, and written and verbal communication skills with customers and team members
Highly self-directed
Ability to work independently or in a team environment with rapidly changing priorities and demands
Willingness to learn, be trained, and coached
ESSENTIALS FUNCTIONS:
Assist Warehouse Operations Manager in warehouse operation
Ensure all customer orders are handled efficiently, and their complaints are handled promptly and courteously
Attend department meetings as necessary and required
Work across the company to develop systematic solutions to help meet company objectives and goals
Ensure the department’s function is consistent with company goals and objectives
Support information systems department in the development/implementation of parts data systems
Formulate objectives, policies, plans, and procedures for the parts operation assuring consistency with company objectives, policies and plans
Assist the corporate warehouse to be effective in its operations and activities
Design, propose, and advise in the planning of new and the remodeling of facilities and recommend the purchase of equipment and supplies to best fit the company’s wants and needs
Remain current on developments in the marketplace to provide and maintain the highest level of product support to customers
Recommend to managers ideas to improve the department’s operating procedures or business practices and participate in and support continuous improvement of all related activities and processes
Project a positive image by interacting with fellow employees, customers, and management in a cooperative, supportive, and courteous manner; display a professional attitude; comply with company dress code
Create and maintain good communications (verbally and in writing) and relationships with other Company departments, branches, employees, outside vendors, and customers by addressing and resolving concerns quickly
Follow all work, safety rules, and procedures
Perform other duties as necessary and assigned
